Gustavo is legally qualified in England & Wales, Portugal, and Brazil.

Gustavo has dedicated nearly two decades to study the CISG and other instruments of legal harmonisation. His PhD thesis focussed on the applicable law to cross-border contracts, with an in-depth analysis of the CISG.
